Pattern of worship
We have a varied pattern of worship throughout the month with a mixture of tradition and contemporary services, with elements of both catholic and evangelical spirituality. Please come along and join us – it will be great to see you!
Please note the change of worship pattern for the upcoming interregnum:
1st Sunday 10.30am – First Sunday Family Communion / 6pm – BCP Evensong
2nd Sunday 10.30am – Holy Communion / 6pm – BCP Evensong
3rd Sunday 10.30am – Third Sunday Praise (all-age worship) / 6pm – BCP Holy Communion
4th Sunday 10.30am – Holy Communion 6pm – BCP Evensong/Celtic Worship
5th Sunday 10.30am – Holy Communion 6pm – BCP Evensong
In August our 6pm services are usually said BCP Evening Prayer.
Morning and Evening Prayer:
Worship is at the beating heart of our life at Holy Trinity. This is true not just on Sundays but also throughout the week. While I’ll admit that I’ve not always got the best time keeping and that I never always looked presentable, it has been a real privilege to publicly lead the community in the daily saying of Morning and Evening Prayer.
All this is why it is sad to announce, that the public saying of Morning and Evening has now stopped. With my departure at the end of August and various things going on throughout that month, it would be even more difficult for me to commit.
As I often say, I would encourage you all to try and say Morning and/or Evening Prayer when you’re able to do. The orders for each (along with Night Prayer – Compline), can be found either on the Church of England website or as a free app for Android and Apple devices. Click HERE.
Please stay connected in worship and prayer – for the church, the world and for one another, Rev Joe.
